About us
We're the people who actually live here.
A boutique ski-trip planning service, founded in 2023 in Bariloche, Argentina.
Most ski trips to Argentina are planned by someone who's never set foot on the mountain. They've never waited out a viento blanco in a refugio above Bariloche, never had a sunrise traverse on Cerro Catedral, never had a picada at the right cervecería after a long day on snow.
We have. That's the whole reason this exists.
Ski Patagonia Co. was founded in 2023 in Bariloche to help international skiers actually experience the Argentine Andes — not the postcard version, but the real one. We work with travelers from the US, Canada, the UK, Europe, and Australia who want a serious ski trip in Patagonia and don't know where to start.
What we do
We design ski trips. We're not a booking platform, and we're not a hotel group dressed up as a concierge. We're a small specialist outfit that does one thing: figure out the right Patagonia ski trip for you, and connect you with the right people on the ground to make it happen.
Itinerary design
We listen to what you're after — first-time-in-Argentina overview, hardcore off-piste, a family trip with a non-skiing partner, a heli-ski week — and build the trip around it.
Resort and lodging selection
We've skied or stayed at every place we recommend. We'll tell you why Chapelco might fit your group better than Catedral, and which lodges are actually worth what they charge.
Local introductions
We connect you directly with vetted operators — IFMGA-certified mountain guides, drivers who know the Andean passes, lodges where the owner picks up the phone. You book and pay them directly.
On-trip support
Storm day moves your heli-ski window? Lift closure on Catedral? You text us. We problem-solve in real time with our local network.
Where we focus
We cover eight resorts across Patagonia and the Argentine Andes: Cerro Catedral, Cerro Bayo, Chapelco, Caviahue, Cerro Perito Moreno, Las Leñas, Cerro Castor, and La Hoya.
We don't plan trips outside this region — no Chile crossings, no general South America itineraries, no anywhere-that-isn't-our-backyard. Specialization is the point.
Our standards
A few things we don't bend on:
- No operator we haven't personally vetted. If we haven't skied with a guide or slept in a lodge, we don't recommend it.
- IFMGA / AAGM credentials for the backcountry. Anyone we send you off-piste with carries international or Argentine mountain-guide certification.
- Honest seasonality advice. July isn't always the answer. We'll tell you when to come for the snow you actually want — even if that means waiting another month.
- Transparent pricing. You'll know what you're paying for, and to whom, before you commit to anything.
The team
Ski Patagonia Co. was started by a long-time Patagonia skier who got tired of watching foreign visitors pay too much for too little. The day-to-day is a small operation — a founder plus a growing network of trusted local partners: guides, lodge owners, drivers, ski instructors. They're the actual hands and eyes on the ground.
We'll be introducing them by name here soon.
Tell us what you're after.
Even if it's vague — "ten days in August, intermediate, want to actually feel like I went somewhere" — we can take it from there.
